Conclusion
In conclusion, My hypothesis was supported, it was obvious for the cotton balls to be best at absorbing oil spill as they were like clothes got heavier when soaked. This kinds of teaches me that solids absorb better than liquids. My group and I also knew that the dish soap would contain the most amount of oil spill which appeared to be 75% of the oil spill contained. As for the sponge and cotton balls it did not really contain any of the oil spill this proves that liquids can contain more than solids as you can see from the results. This experiment showed us that cleaning an oil spill is not that easy and that different materials are good for either absorbing the oil spill or containing the oil spill.
