After scanning with my eyes the Emily Dickinson poem "Hope is the thing with feathers", I have found a snippet that sticks out to me ,the first line of the first stanza "Hope is the thing with feathers". I chose this line because it makes me thing of people stuck in nature's world trying to survive, they will be able to find and tell hope by the sight of a whistling bird. In the line Feathers represent birds and they are a sin of hope. This also reminds me of "The Hunger Games " because Katniss was stuck in the land of nature killing off her rivals but she still believed there was hope, that there was a chance of her surviving till the very end, of her close friends to stay alive in the games when violently attacked and left injured. what gave Katniss Everdeen the sign of hope were the whistling birds flying by through the still looking trees and breezy air. She was watching them flying by whistling their daily positive tune. the Poem "Hope is the thing with feathers" seemed less similar to the "Hunger Games" after reading the whole poem. I think that the true message in the poem is that hope does  not last. that things will start out good but then the bad thing will come like if you were going camping you will be excited and have everything planned out to go well but then when it actually happens then it is not as much fun as you think because there will be some faults in everything that you do no matter what.  From this poem I have learnt that  your hope is limited and that you're greatest sign of hope can be vanquished away from you leaving you hopeless. In other words there are things that can make you lose hope in herself like total disasters that happen recently that makes you ignore all signs of hope.
