Quote #1: “ so desperately hoping that it’s not me, that it’s not me, that it’s not me”.You can tell by the repetition of words how scared Katniss was at the start. This makes a connection to the real world as Katniss starts off scared but in the real world people are forced to take a stand when it comes to doing something that they fear of doing.

This suggests that before Katniss had stage fright and was worried about how she was going to impress her sponsors, then this quote is after Cinna, Effie and Haymitch help Katniss overcome stage fright. This connects to the real world as stage fright occurs to some people when they under pressure and get worried of what mistake they can make.
