Riots in Vancouver
Would Ponyboy have joined in the Vancouver Riots?
I think that Ponyboy would not have joined in the Vancouver Riots because Ponyboy is not really into stealing and getting into fights. He got into a fight with the Socs and he was absolutely terrified, he could not look after himself and since his parents are deceased, it just him and his brothers Sodapop and Darry. If Pony cannot look after himself then how can he possibly steal and be able to cause riots in Vancouver and get away with it. even Ponyboy would admit that he is not really all tough and that it was something he believed he was never going to achieve. Ponyboy was crying a lot after his fight with the Socs and how they threatened to kill him. That is right, the Socs commit murder. It was possibly the worst experience of his life. I think Pony's goal is to get through a peaceful life but it seems simply impossible and he is never going to have the peaceful life he wants and things were never going to be the same since his parents were gone. He would also be to afraid to take part in the Vancouver Riots after suffering from deaths of his loved ones and not being able to handle it.
